Advancing People are working exclusively with an established specialist high value Business Services provider based in the Bedford area that are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager due to continued success.
We are looking for a proven Business Development Manager to be based in their Head Office in Bedford, developing New Business Sales with key potential clients throughout the UK. The role will also involve having ownership of your own individual sales targets and leading from the front with a small motivated team of external sales people.
This rarely available role will give the right candidate a huge opportunity to take my client to the next step of their growth plans and all the tools and support is available to grow both financial turnover and the existing Sales Team.
What is extremely important is that the Business Development Manager Manager is a pro-active individual who will be able to create, nurture and convert their own leads and sales. The Marketing and brand awareness already in place is extremely successful but my client is looking for someone with a clear hunting approach to gaining new sales rather than farming existing relationships and warm enquiries.
The type of person we are looking for must be professional, tenacious, and able to lead from the front and can bring to the table examples of their sales success to date. You must be able to present well over the phone and to the highest of levels face to face with clients. Someone with gravitas and presence - able to command respect as a credible Sales Person.

The basic salary on offer will be £24-27k Basic with possible flexibility depending on experience and an open OTE will be available based on both individual and team performance. There will also be a company car/allowance, blackberry and other typical company benefits included.
